The Library is governed by its Board of Trustees — seven to nine residents of Bronxville Village, each appointed by the Mayor and the Village Trustees to a three-year nonsalaried term of service.

The Board meets at the Library from 7-9 pm on the second Thursday of the month (except August) to review with the Library Director the Library’s status; to determine, codify, and update policies; and to plan for the Library’s future. These meetings are open to the public; a schedule of meeting dates is below. Trustees also serve on one or more standing committees.

The Board works in close communication with the Friends of the Bronxville Public Library and is advised by a Village Trustee who serves as Library Liaison.
