Gardening and Plants for Bees
Monday, August 15 | 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm | add to Google Calendar
In this second in our series of bee-related classes, we’ll be looking at some of the things that are causing bees and insects to be in decline. One of those things is a decrease in available food sources for the bees. We’ll be learning what bees use for food, and how you can plant for them in your garden and landscape. We will be looking at the needs of both native bees and honey bees. The class will be presented by D. J. Haverkamp of Bedford Bee Honeybee Service. Planting guides will be provided.
Please register by calling or stopping by the Reference Desk: 914-337-768- ext. 824
This program will take place in the Yeager Community Room located on the lower level of the Library.
