College Admissions, the Holistic Review Process and Community Service in the time of COVID-19
Wednesday, November 18th at 7:00 pm
Bronxville Library has partnered with Stand Out for College, LLC to help families understand how the college admissions landscape is changing due to COVID-19 and what impact it will have on rising Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores.
The college admissions process is undergoing significant and lasting changes as many colleges and universities have gone test optional. In fact all the Ivy Leagues and many other high profile colleges have announced that they are test-optional for this upcoming admissions cycle. In fact, Princeton announced that it is not allowing early applications, so the situation is fluid and changing daily. Admissions officers will have a more holistic review process with more emphasis on college essays, extracurricular activities, teacher recommendations and community service projects.
The presentation led by Ron Feuchs and Jackie Tepper, covers how admissions officers are handling the current situation and how students can position themselves to develop a compelling narrative to stand out and increase their chances.
