Battle of the Books

The Bronxville Library is excited to share the book titles for the 2026 Westchester Library System Battle of the Books.

Grades 4–6:

Grades 7–12:

• Breathe and Count Back From Ten by Natalia Sylvester
• Lunar New Year Love Story by Gene Luen Yang & LeUyen Pham
• The Paper Girl of Paris by Jordyn Taylor
• Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim

The Bronxville Library plans to host two teams this year for students entering grades 4–12 in Fall 2026: a Children’s team (Grades 4–6) and a Tween/Teen team (Grades 7+). Each team member will receive five free books to keep.

Our first interest meeting, for new participants will be held on Thursday, May 7, at 4pm at the second-floor children’s desk. Additional meetings will be held over the coming months, students may sign up anytime between now and mid-July.

Team practices will begin in mid-September, leading up to the Battle on Saturday, October 24th.
