Our Mission

The Friends of the Bronxville Public Library, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Bronxville Public Library. Our mission is to focus public attention on the Library’s services, facilities, and needs; sponsor special projects; secure materials that are beyond the reach of the regular Library budget; and perform other services that are helpful to this beloved 105-year-old institution.

What We Do

Musical performances by the Kalayjian-Kazantsev Duo, the Sima Trio, Jules Belmont with Chris Venditti, Goldberg’s Variations, The Princeton Nassons, Woodlawn Jazz Greats, and Diana Templeton.

Film series featuring works by Peter Yates, Greg Mottola, Gurinder Chadha, and Wayne Wang.

Author appearances by Pulitzer Prize winner William J. Broad, Norb Vonnegut, Andrea Montalbano, and Sam Roberts.

The Museum Pass Program giving residents and members of the FOBPL free passes to area museums including The Frick, The Guggenheim, The Intrepid, and the Museum of Natural History.

Children’s programming including the Summer Reading Program and Concert Series, Dawny Dew and her Puppet Friends,  Green Golly & Her Golden Flute, and ongoing seasonal crafts, contests and enrichment programs.

Additional programming and funding for the Annual Poetry Reading and Contest and Kindles, pre-loaded with content.

We are proud to sponsor these upcoming cultural events for children and adults at the library.
