While You Were Away: Love Songs of WWII

Saturday, September 15 | 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Take an hour’s sentimental journey where, without costumes or props, Dr. Diane Cypkin and pianist, Lena Panfilova will transport you to the time of the Greatest Generation.  This program will feature such classics as “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree,” “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” and “The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.”

Diane Cypkin has worked in the theatre as both a singer and actor in shows at the Soho Repertory Theatre, the New York Theatre Workshop, the Jan Hus Playhouse, and the Three Muses Theatre. She is presently Professor of Media, Communication, and Visual Arts at Pace University.
