Poetry: The Path to Within
Thursday, April 25 | 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Unlike other forms of writing, poetry does not require any adherence to rules of style, tone, grammar or punctuation. It simply asks the writer to feel and to tap from within. This seminar presents poetry as the everyday expression of life’s events and one’s emotional response to those events. Participants will actively participate in a discussion and set pen to paper. The topics covered will include discovering words that resonate, looking within for emotional connection to those words, defining self by exploring spirit, and meditating to resonate/connect/define. We will conclude with a guided visual meditation.
