Thursday, March 28 | 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
What sources can keep your current?
Who has authoritative information on medications or supplements?
What sources help you to compare doctors, hospitals, and other health services?
Which tools are essential to manage your health insurance?
How can you use search engines efficiently, cut through the noise, and find what you need while protecting your privacy?
Essential Online Health Information for Older Adults, a 90minute workshop offered by Westchester Library System, offers a review of current online resources that can be used to research health topics and evaluate and manage health services. In addition to demonstrating how to use each resource, tips on internet privacy and tools for managing online information are discussed.
Resources described in the program are detailed in a printed guide that will be distributed at the program and that is available for download at westchesterlibraries.org.
